Volunteering With RWF

We love partnering with organizations within our community to help restore long-living tree species across the area.

Past Volunteer Efforts

Boy Scout Troop 6

On May 3, 2025, the Boy Scout Troop 6 of Rice Lake Township volunteered to help UMD Student EcoReps plant approximately 1,000 seedlings, including Red Pine, White Pine, White Cedar, Yellow Birch, and Burr Oak varieties. This was on City of Duluth property along Amity Creek and will help the city restore native long-lived tree species along this waterway, improving the ecosystem’s function.

Loll Design Studio

On May 20, 2025, over 40 Loll Design employees volunteered to collect trash and plant approximately 1,400 Red and White Pines provided by RWF. On City of Duluth property along the Lester River, this work will help restore native long-lived tree species along this waterway, improving the ecosystem’s function. This was the second annual Loll tree planting event with our organization.
